Maso Tsy Malia-Savoa.

This proverb refers to women who collect the fruits of the savoa plant and are sometimes splashed by its irritating juice. The juice can cause a slight burning sensation in the eyes. It symbolizes that to achieve a goal or gain a benefit, one must often endure trials or difficulties. In other words, one has to accept the inconveniences to reap the rewards. The equivalent in English would be: « No pain, no gain ».
