Fanirian-Tsahondra, Ka Ny Aloha No Mihoatra, Ary Ny Aoriana Manao Izay Hitoviana.
This proverb likens love and friendship to the growth of aloe flowers. At the start of a relationship, there may not be grand shows of affection or commitment (equivalent to the proverb ‘Comparisons are odious’). However, as the relationship progresses, there is a desire to make the relationship more balanced and harmonious, hence the efforts of the ’later flowers’ to achieve the same growth as the first ones.
