A liar can cause significant harm through deceit and falseness, damaging relationships and destroying trust. Furthermore, once lies are discovered, they can leave deep and lasting scars. Therefore, it is better to face a direct and identifiable threat like that of a witch than to live in an environment undermined by deceit.
