Adin-Kisoa, Ka Samy Mandoa Vory Ihany, Na Ny Resy Na Ny Mahery.
This proverb illustrates that at the end of a quarrel, no one is truly victorious. Just like pigs after a fight, everyone pays their price, whether in wounds or pain. This Malagasy proverb thus reminds us that conflicts and disputes lead to nothing productive and often everyone ends up losing. An equivalent English expression might be: ‘In war, there are no winners, only losers’ or ‘The only thing war determines is who’s left.’
