Adaladala Toa Betsileo: Miarahaba Soavaly.
This proverb suggests that the person is eccentric or does strange and unusual things. Greeting a horse is considered odd because horses do not respond like humans. Therefore, the expression is used to describe someone who behaves irrationally or absurdly. An equivalent proverb in English would be ‘He’s out of his mind’. This saying originates from the Betsileo region, an ethnic group in Madagascar known for their rich culture and traditions.
